Her words remind us of what truly matters: "Love begins at home, and its not about how much we do but about how much love we put in that action."

SLP Staff and Families,
I want to take a moment to give honor to and thank the remarkable men and women who have served in our United States Armed Forces. I would especially like to recognize and honor the veterans who are employees of the St. Landry Parish School District, as well as the veterans from our SLP community.

I am grateful for your courage, sacrifice, and love of country. Your willingness to step forward and serve, often under the most challenging circumstances, has secured the freedoms that we, and generations to come, will enjoy.

May you feel the deep respect and appreciation of a grateful nation and community. Veterans, thank you for your service,

Happy Veterans Day! 🇺🇸
