Congratulations to Josi Lemelle on being named our district's 12th Grade Student of the Year! Josi is a senior at Eunice High School who excels academically, gives back through community service, and leads by example. Her accomplishments are truly impressive! Last week, our superintendent and district leadership team members visited EHS to present Josi with a gift basket and balloon to commemorate this achievement. We are all so proud of Josi and know she has an incredibly bright future ahead! This recognition highlights the culture of excellence we strive for across our district. It is because of students like Josi that we are able to fulfill our mission of educating and empowering the next generation of leaders. Way to go, Josi! Join us in congratulating Brianna Fontenot, 8th grade student at Arnaudville Middle School, on being named our district's 8th Grade Student of the Year! We proudly announce that Daisy Smith of Arnaudville Middle School was named our district's 5th Grade Student of the Year! Last week, we visited Arnaudville to celebrate Daisy's outstanding accomplishments. Our Superintendent had the honor of presenting her with a special balloon and treat basket to commemorate this achievement. St. Landry Parish will showcase our best Jr. High basketball talent at our All-Star game on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at Opelousas Jr. High. Event Times: 5:00 PM: 3-point contest 6:00 PM: Girls All-Star Game 7:00 PM: Boys All-Star Game Admission: $5 for all ages.

If you suspect your child has talented music, theater, and/or visual art characteristics, contact your school for a referral to the School Building Level Committee. Talented referrals and evaluations are only conducted once a year in the Spring.
